*UPDATEd Jan 26th, 2008* I have totally re-worked many aspects of this piece form when I first Posted it. Now I am finally happy with it.
In 1985, Steve McCurry's Photograph, of then unknown Sharbat Gula appeared on the cover of National Geographic magazine, and has since become one of the worlds most famous photographs.
This is my Graphite and Airbrush rendition of that photograph.
Media - 11"X14" Strathmore Smooth Bristol. - Staedtler Mars Lumograph HB - 7B - kneadable eraser - White eraser - Blending stumps - Goldens Airbrush acrylics

I love this photo.I saw a documentary once and this photographer Steve McCurry searched for that girl years after he had made the photo.It's amazing.The way you did the eyes is incredible!!!!!
